Telling is the act of erasing borders. To separate what matters from what doesn't. "CONTOPIAS" are tales from around the world that use words to bring people together in everything that unites and separates them. In everything that resembles and differentiates them. These are stories, Indian, African, European, Oriental, Arabic, told in a single session. Perhaps the storyteller is the last stronghold of utopia. The man who through words finds similarities that dilute invasive ignorance. This journey condensed into a single session aims to cross the world and its listeners, bringing them closer together across the geography of affection. This is the greatest strength of the memory and the word shared without prejudice.
Knowing who we are, to know that others are too.
For approximately 20 years now, Jorge Serafim, as a narrator of traditional tales and promoter of books and reading, has been visiting countless schools, public and municipal libraries, prisons, day care centers, theater festivals, book fairs, cultural centers, and has been traveling the country from north to south, bringing the ancient art of the naked and raw word and at the same time delicious and sweet imagination to whoever wants to hear it. He was an employee of the Municipal Library of Beja for thirteen years in the children's and youth sector, developing functions in the area of oral narration and promotion of books and reading. Also highlighting the oral narration mediation and reading mediation workshops that he regularly guides for Parent, Teacher and Educator Associations.
