In a space marked by ambiences and aesthetics that refer to the universe of brutalism, abstractionism and surrealism, three bodies cohabit in parallel realities. We see how their relationships, habits and particularities materialize in interactions, which force a mutual permeability, as they design choreographic compositions.
Through juggling and physical theater, the aim is to transport to the scenic space both the dimension of the interior space and the external exaltation of these characters.

Oliveira & Bachtler
July 23rd / Parque das Águas Romanas, Penela / 10:30 - 12:30 am
From 6 years on
This workshop aims to approach the universal principles that govern the performing arts and their applications through artistic exercises. We use circus arts and physical theater as means of expression and development of the individual and the community both on a physical and cognitive level, thus seeking to develop an awareness of the mechanisms that allow the participant to articulate and project their unique voice in the scenic space.
CLÁUDIO JORDÃO is Director and Animator for 20 years. His work has already been distinguished with more than 30 awards around the world, the vast majority relating to the animated short film Conto do Vento. He co-founded Pantapoiein, the first multimedia and 3D company in the Algarve in 1997; motion-designer at the advertising agency FCB and co-founder of the production studio Kotostudios motion-productions.
Oliveira & Bachtler create work rooted in human nature, generating a unique and multi-faceted physical language supported by circus, theatre and movement. With great regard for ambience, they compose to evoke visceral and scenic paintings into the space. Company Oliveira & Bachtler was founded by Sage Bachtler Cushman and Hugo Oliveira in 2014.
