N-Semble offer a commentary concert, in which they take a journey through the history of music, stopping to comment on the great musical changes that have taken place over the centuries and brightening up the encounter with jocular details. The composers chosen as companions on the journey are: Monteverdi, Orfeo, Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Rossini, John Williams, Luciano Berio, William Bird and Malcolm Arnold.

A program of silent film shorts, two comedies and a fantastic film, accompanied by musicians André Louro on piano and Fernando Oliveira on drums. The conversation, between the three of them, the two instruments and the movie screen, unfolds animatedly, in which none of the three give up their voice, whether it's more jazzy on the drums, contemporary on the piano or irreverent and virtuous on the camera. From the strong and familiar images given by great figures of early 20th century cinema, such as Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, the audience is immersed in a frenetic universe of contemporaneity given by the music that is created from the relationship between the parts.

In ATLAS, Carlota Lagido delves into her Sephardic ancestry, on a family journey that begins in 1700's Tetuan and travels a long way until finally arriving home — Alfafar (Al-fukhar, in Arabic). She builds the performance from this place and the idea of arriving home by using a documentary and poetic film, which features the live music of Bárbara Lagido (voice) and Francisco Correia (electronics), in addition to the words of people from Alfafar, Podentes, Rabaçal, São Sebastião and Penela, who share with us their stories, memories, struggles and knowledge.

The N-SEMBLE of Sociedade Filarmónica Penelense is a somewhat atypical ensemble. It ends up being born, albeit informally, for the time being, from the notable growing need for the SFP to be represented by a reduced number of musicians, on the one hand, and, on the other, from the taste for chamber music. Its constitution is elastic and variable and responds to the needs of the occasion, just as its repertoire is varied, which spans all periods of Western Music History.
ANDRÉ LOURO graduated from the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema of Lisbon, (actor training) and from the École Internationale de Théâtre Lassaad in Brussels (Movement Theater). He composed music for several theatrical projects. He is a composer and performer of the string quartet Penicos de Prata, erotic and satirical poetry set to music and of the piano, oboe and euphonium trio “duas chamadas não atendidas”.
FERNANDO OLIVEIRA studied drums at the Luís Villas Boas Jazz School - Hot Club and at the Aveiro Music Workshop - OMA. Currently, he shares the stage with Violetist João Camões in the improvisation duet Asa, collaborates with producer Beats By Timoteo, is the drummer for the artist VSP_AST, percussionist in Orquestra Micrologus and Tocata of GEFAC. He is a musician and performer at the Multidisciplinary and Organic Experimental Device (DEMO), in various shows circulating in Portugal, Spain, China and Peru.
LUGAR DO MEIO was born in 2015 out of Carlota Lagido's desire to create a space for experimentation and artistic creation outside urban centers. It has been a place of experimentation, public presentations and artistic residencies for various projects by the creator - "Song of Myself", "Mina", "Silvestre" - and external contemporary dance artists - Francisca Manuel (Festival Cumplicidades), Andresa Soares, Elizabete Francisca and Joana Levi (Festival Linha de Fuga).
