music Catarina Santana and André Louro (recorded by Wout Straatman)
The village of Infesto has a recording studio in its former primary school. There we find Wout Straatman, a Dutch man living in our territory. In the search for a unique sound, his studio is a space where the capture by analogue means is the law. In a world of hustle and bustle, Wout defends the time of experimentation and rehearsal. A time for everyone: musicians, production, visitors ... everyone. In the digital age, Wout continues to capture and motivate all those who frequent his space to find the waves of sound frequencies that computers have made linear. Between the continuous adaptation of the studio and projects to build a “Sound Garden” for the youngest, he shares with us the possibility of recording a song from Rancho Folclórico do Rabaçal (traditional song and dance group). And for a moment, the waves of time and space mingle on a table full of buttons to become eternal on the endless ribbon of a reel.
