We invited Joana Aroso and Patrícia Paquete to the round table with Paula Oliveira Guimarães to talk about Longevity and Rights.
Paula Oliveira Guimarães is a lawyer who works in the area of ​​human rights and the social economy.


Joana Aroso graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto in 2003 and has been a lawyer at the law firm JAB - José Pedro Aguiar-Branco Advogados since 2005.
Since then, she has worked in the area of ​​Public Law, in its various aspects, and is currently the coordinating partner of this practice area.
She has a postgraduate degree in Contract Law from the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University - Porto Regional Center, and in Administrative and Tax Justice from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, and has a Specialization in Human Rights from the School of Law of the University of Minho, this being her preferred area. She was the coordinator of the book/collective work - Os Novos Idosos: Envelhecimento Ativo e Direito - published in December 2021 by Almedina, and has dedicated herself, since 2019, to the study and deepening of the theme of Longevity, from a legal perspective, being, at JAB, responsible for the dynamization of the Longevidade + Desk.

 

Patrícia Paquete has been an Occupational Therapist since 1993. She holds a PhD in Public Health from Nova Medical School, UNL (2016). She was the technical director of the first day center and SAD specifically for people with dementia in Portugal, by Alzheimer Portugal. She is the founder of the company Humanamente. She has been dedicated to promoting the well-being and dignity of people living with dementia for over 20 years.
