We invited Regina Nunes and Susan James to the round table with Paula Oliveira Guimarães to talk about Longevity and Creativity.
Paula Oliveira Guimarães is a lawyer who works in the area of human rights and the social economy.
Regina Nunes was born in 1957 in the parish of São Miguel Penela. She completed her primary education at the Espinhal School, studied at the Infante de Sagres College in Avelar, and at the D. Maria and D. Duarte High Schools in Coimbra. She graduated in Educational Sciences from the Lusófona University, and holds postgraduate degrees in Social Organization Management and Social Welfare, also from the Lusófona University, and in Human Resources from ISLA.
She worked for several years in the commercial sector, served as Secretary on the Parish Council Executive from 1999 to 2013, and was a co-founder of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Venda do Pinheiro in 2002, serving on its governing bodies and board. She was part of the Local Integration Nucleus (NLI) of Mafra, the Child and Youth Protection Commission (CPCJ), the Extended Commission, and the Restricted Commission of Mafra.
Currently retired, she is the Vice-Provedor of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Venda do Pinheiro, serving on the Board of Directors on a voluntary basis. She is responsible for the social services of the Day Center, Nursery, Psychology Clinic, and Senior Academy. She represents the institution at meetings of the Local Social Action Council (CLAS) of Mafra and at meetings of the General Council - Venda do Pinheiro School Group.
