Paula Oliveira Guimarães is a lawyer who works in the area of human rights and the social economy.
Elsa Mourão is a physician widely recognized for her pioneering and compassionate work in the field of palliative care and emergency medicine.
She dedicated more than 20 years to pre-hospital care at INEM (National Institute of Medical Emergency) and 10 years to hospital emergencies in Lisbon.
For the past 15 years, she has focused on supporting patients at the end of life, holding a Master's degree and a Postgraduate degree in Palliative Care.
She is the founder and current Clinical Director of LinQue, a social solidarity cooperative created in 2015 that provides home-based palliative care.
She is the president of Amadora Compassiva, a project that aims to create support communities for people with advanced illness or bereavement.
Elsa Mourão is frequently described as a "compassionate presence" who advocates that a "good death" should be treated as an integral part of each person's life story. She actively participates in conferences and workshops (such as "Death and Dying") to demystify the end of life and promote self-care among healthcare teams. Currently, he also collaborates with specialized centers such as the AIM Cancer Center, where he applies his vast clinical and academic experience in supporting cancer patients and their families.
António Folgado is a physician specialized in Palliative Care, recognized for his work supporting end-of-life patients and promoting health literacy through the Amadora Compassiva project.
He works as a physician at LinQue, a platform dedicated to providing home-based palliative care and health training.
He is one of the faces and active collaborators of the Amadora Compassiva initiative, part of the Portugal Compassivo network. This project aims to raise community awareness about supporting people with advanced illness and frailty, combating social isolation.
He frequently conducts conferences and information sessions on Living Wills (Advance Directives), helping citizens and volunteers understand how to ensure their care preferences are respected in the future.
